of what happens to your pieces after they are placed in the kiln?
Are you interested in creating your own glazes, but you’re not
a chemist? This class is for you! We will use a limit formula/recipe
approach to explore the formulation of glazes. This class will
introduce the students to the basic components which make up glazes.
Through guided testing and experimentation students will learn
to design their own glazes. Students will also learn about the
role of heat and atmosphere, as well as the clay body, in the creation
of a successful piece. Students will have the opportunity to take
part in a kiln firing $255.00( This class offered Spring Term
/Oak Park only)
*For students who enroll in Clay, Glazes and Firing, in addition
to another 8 week class,
